Bahrain

Bahrain is an archipelago in the Persian Gulf. Its terrain is low desert plain that rises to a central plateau. In Bahrain most of the country is used for human activities, in its majority by urban use. Bahrain’s rarity of marine fish and mammals is high. Challenges to biodiversity include desertification and drought; coastal resulting from oil spills and discharges; and a lack of freshwater resources.
