Switzerland is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The Alps Mountains dominate the country’s landscape, along with several large lakes. Switzerland is home to the Rhine River source. In Switzerland most of the country is used for human activities, in its majority by rangeland. Challenges to biodiversity include air pollution; water pollution; soil contamination and erosion.
