National Report Card: Denmark
Denmark is located on the Jutland Peninsula, which extends into the North Sea of the North Atlantic Ocean. Denmark is mostly flat country, and it also includes several islands. In Denmark most of the country is used for human activities, in its majority by rainfed agriculture. The rarity of marine fish and mammals is also high.
Challenges to biodiversity include air pollution and water pollution of the North Sea and in surface water.
