Esri User Conference Explores GIS Enabling the Intelligent Nervous System for the Planet
The Esri User Conference attracts users from around the world, gathering to hear from accomplished GIS users and thought leaders from across the globe. For the opening keynote, renowned conservationists Jane Goodall and E.O. Wilson joined Jack Dangermond for a discussion on what they have learned over their legendary careers helping to protect species and ecosystems, as well as the role geospatial technology plays in the future of global biodiversity.
Walter Jetz, Scientific Chair of the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation and lead scientists behind the Half-Earth Project Map, addressed the audience of 19,000 via video during E.O. Wilson’s keynote comments.
