The website, TheBestSchools.org, recently named E.O. Wilson one of “The 50 Most Influential Scientists in the World Today.” The list includes scientists who have been instrumental in the invention of the Internet and fiber optics, contributed to new understandings in AIDS and cancer research, helped create new drugs, or have otherwise made crucial advances in the biological, medical, and physical sciences, and in areas touching on technology.
