Bill Finch, Conservation Science Advisor to the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation, will be speaking at the North Carolina Botanical Garden

April 7 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm EDT

Finding our future in longleaf diversity: What longleaf teaches us about diversity, and why that’s critical to the future of our forests:  The longleaf pine ecosystem has often been described as North America’s most diverse forest ecosystem, and longleaf, like few other ecosystems, fostered diversity within and outside its canopy. But understanding the diversity of that diversity will be critical not only to maintaining longleaf pine but also to restoring forest ecosystems that can survive the dramatic changes of the next century, while more equitably serving the people who live there.

Location: This program will be delivered in a hybrid format.

In-person option: A limited number of seats will be available in the Reeves Auditorium.

Virtual option: The lecture will stream live via Zoom Webinar. Links for accessing the program will be emailed to registered participants in advance of the program.
