The mission of the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation is to promote worldwide understanding of the importance of biodiversity and of the preservation of our biological heritage. Among our projects is the development of educational materials in life science for students and the general public that will improve global understanding and respect for the diversity life on Earth. We are developing the concept of endowed content—the creation of educational materials that will be supported and updated over time by the Foundation and made available to students at little or no cost. Today’s biology students will be tomorrow’s biochemists, explorers, environmental policy makers, park rangers, and informed citizens. Our missions is to prepare them for their work.
