Parker Hopkins was nominated as the National Park Service Biodiversity Youth Ambassador for Rocky Mountain National Park in 2012 and is a junior at Niwot High School in Colorado. Parker is a leader in biodiversity youth mentoring by engaging other students to participate in the Environment Club at his high school. Parker also spends his free time volunteering at the Junior Park Ranger Headquarters at Rocky Mountain National Park and speaking to students about how to act responsibly to protect wildlife in the park. Parker spent his summer as an intern with NOAA studying the impact of environmental toxins on climate change and the potential impact on biodiversity. He loves spending time outdoors and would like to someday have a career with the National Park Service.
