Michael Parks is the President of Pitch360 Inc., a full service communications consultancy to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and nanotechnology industries. Prior to founding Pitch360 in 2008, Michael was the Chief Communications Officer of an operating company within Johnson & Johnson with communications responsibility for the protection and enhancement of the company’s image and products from a commercial, research & development, and manufacturing perspective. Prior to that, Michael held executive positions at Pfizer, Pharmacia Corporation, and Searle Pharmaceuticals, and led efforts related to the launch of a number of blockbuster products. Michael is considered by many a pioneer in social media for the pharma industry and was also the Executive Producer of the groundbreaking documentary, INNERSTATE, a film that chronicled the devastating impact of chronic disease and the promise of innovation. This documentary was a first for the pharmaceutical industry and just part of Michael’s broad portfolio of innovative approaches to effectively communicating complex issues to a wide variety of audiences. Michael’s passion for biodiversity stems from his background in molecular biology and population/ecological genetics, but moreover, his love for nature.
