Our partners include best-in-class communities, companies, conservation nonprofits, and scientific bodies who regularly inform our advocacy on behalf of global biodiversity in venues including Half-Earth Day, the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, International Union for Conservation of Nature, and GEO BON.
Engagement des entreprises
We recognize the importance of businesses and markets in creating and maintaining a sustainable future. Our science team is developing new ways to bring biodiversity data into the ways companies do business. Together, we believe collaborating with businesses at-scale, can lead to a variety of benefits for humanity and nature. From business practices like sustainability and environmental governance to natural capital and nature-related disclosure, considering biodiversity impacts can be supportive of Half-Earth. Further, CBRE, Burt’s Bees, Houdini, among other corporate partners help drive attention to the extinction crisis through advocacy programs like Half-Earth Day.
Engagement scientifique
The science of the Half-Earth Project is developed by the Map of Life at Yale University, designed by Vizzuality and powered by ArcGis andEsri technologies. Data sources used to generate the Half-Earth Project Map include UNEP-WCMC, IUCN, and IPBES. We partner with Google Cloud Platform, Google Earth Engine, and Esri for data storage, computational, and mapping technology.
Our scientists work in close collaboration with the GEO Biodiversity Observation Network (BON), Half-Earth Project, and in partnership with Google, Esri, NASA, the National Science Foundation, National Geographic, and others.
