Durham, NC – Ahead of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Noviembre, and the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) in Diciembre, the latter where more than 150 nations are to establish a set of global targets toward achieving biodiversity goals, the Half-Earth Project Map is announcing a host of new tools and features to show patterns of biodiversity, human impacts, and protected areas to reveal conservation opportunities.

Washington, DC – Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA), author of the Wildlife Corridors Conservation Act, today introduced a resolution in support of the Half-Earth initiative, a proposal advanced by the late Dr. E.O. Wilson. Wilson, who passed away last year, was a famed biologist credited with coining the term “biodiversity.” He was born 93 years ago today.

Durham, NC – The E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation has announced the election of four new members to its Board of Directors including: Caryl Hart, PhD, Dawn Wright, PhD, Keith Tuffley, and Stephen H. Lockhart, MD, PhD. The new Board of Directors’ appointments took place between Febrero of last year and Enero this year.
